Elder Rouse

After getting an awsome letter from Elder Rouse who is serving in NZ, I thought that maybe you would like to send him a letter or a small parcel, everyone likes getting cool stuff in the mail especially Elders. His address is on the notice board at church I wont post it here as its an open blog. Send him some news or a snack or maybe some socks (they always need socks!)
Thanks

Christmas basket

I just wanted to remind everyone of the Christmas hamper that we have in the foyer. This year we are putting together a baby hamper for a mum in the area who has 4 children including 15 month old twins and is expecting another set of twins in the new year she is going to need alot of extra baby things so if you can contribute anything that would be great.
Also on next Tuesday the youth are packing boxes for Deloraine house its a wonderful experience so dont frget to let all the youth know.

Baby Hamper reminder

Just a reminder that next Sunday is the last Sunday to bring baby hamper items to church. The basket is in the foyer and we would appreciate any boy or girl items. If you forget next Sunday, you have until the 22nd of Dec to drop items off to Simone as on the 23rd the hamper will be delivered to the family in our community.

RS Christmas activity

Last Friday night we held our RS Christmas activity at the chapel. It was a great evening with the sister missionaries singing a song, a Christmas story told by Kit, Jayne leading a little discussion on Christmas and Christ-centred traditions, secret Santa (sister) and then onto the craft part of the evening where we made nativity scenes.

Ashlee spent many hours researching and putting the nativity scene packs together for us all to make and we really appreciate all the work her and her sister Zoey put into making the night the success that it was.

No RS activity could be complete without a wee bit of supper at the end. Thanks to Kit and June for their wassil and eggnog drinks and to all the ladies who brought food along to share.

Don't you love eating shots?? Peg, Jayne and Stephannie
Kit and Beverley
Susanna and Maranda
And thanks too to Georgia who looked after my kids during the activity.
